Intermediate Chapter Held in Rome

From July 7–19, our Sisters from around the world gathered at the General House in Rome, Italy for our Intermediate Chapter. It was a blessed time of international communion, discernment, and spiritual renewal. United in our Franciscan charism, we reflected on our mission and looked ahead with hope and trust in the Lord.

Please continue to keep our Congregation in your prayers as we move forward in faith and service.

Prayers for Our Sisters in the Middle East

We ask your heartfelt prayers for all our Sisters serving in our mission countries—especially those in the Middle East, where the challenges are many and the danger is real. May our Sisters continue to be instruments of peace, compassion, and courage amid difficult circumstances.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” (Mt 5:9)

In Loving Memory: Sr. Bianca Camilleri

In November 2024, we said goodbye to our dear Sr. Bianca Camilleri, originally from Malta and a proud U.S. citizen. Sr. Bianca lovingly served here in New Jersey for over 50 years. Her life was marked by unwavering dedication to the Church, to the young, and to all who crossed her path.

Now, we believe she prays for us from Heaven. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

A Joyful Return: Sr. Bernarda

In January 2025, we joyfully welcomed back Sr. Bernarda, originally from Brazil, who previously lived and served in the U.S. for 30 years. After her recent assignment in Rome as a Councillor at our Generalate, she has returned to the U.S. to continue her mission among us. We are so grateful for her return and the many gifts she brings to our community.

Honoring Sr. Bianca at St. Michael School

In May, St. Michael the Archangel School in Clayton, NJ hosted its annual Pen Pal Party—this year, celebrated in loving memory of Sr. Bianca, who founded the club and inspired countless young hearts.

On that same day, the school community dedicated the Library in her honor, a lasting tribute to her joyful spirit and tireless love for the students and families she served for decades.
